15 years ago when I didnt even dream about my own kennel, every month I was looking for the begining of each month as it was the day when new publication of ukranian dog-magazine was published but it was a huge happiness when my friend sent me from Moscow almost each month publication of the most popular russian dog magazine – “DROUG” (in English translated as “Friend”). Publishing house “Droug” was established in 1990, when the first dog-magazine in USSR was published. At that time it was the only one magazine for dog-lovers, magazine that was full of useful information and advices.
If someone told me, 12 years old girl, at that time – that one day I will be interviewed as a breeder of IGs by this well-known, oldest dog-magazine and that I will be also invited to be a consultant for the article about Italian Greyhounds and that my photos will be published there – I would say “are you kidding me?!” : )
I mentioned already on our site that we don’t write so called “puff piece” as our kennel doesn’t need any advertising, so when I got an email from “some” magazine – I started to write a reply … – rejection letter, until I didn’t notice the name of the magazine and didn’t see other email with the polite reply to provide magazine by my photos for free and give an interview for 8 pages and to be the consultant of the article about the breed. For sure I agreed : ) I was interviewed by Maria Davidova, and I must tell that I’m thankful for that very interesting questions she prepared for us and indeed it took about a month to answer all her questions. Publishing house “Droug” had lots of changes during last several years but still it is the most huge publishing house in Russia. In Ukraine dog magazine – “DROUG” may be fount only at dog-shows or ordered by post from Moscow/Russia.
Just want to say – that never stop on your way to your dream! I’m thankful to this most popular russian dog-magazine that for interview they invited not russian, but ukrainian kennel and that our kennel Silvento was chosen from the rest of the kennels. It was really interesting to work with “DROUG” and hopefully for those of you, who speak russian it will be interesting to read my interview and article about italian greyhounds – 12 pages but it is worth it : ) I’m thankful to everyone who inspired me – to my family and friends, to our right-hand of the kennel – Tanya Stanishcheva, to my best freinds-owners of our dogs – Katya and Sasha from Dnepropetrovsk city (kennel Fiesta Ventura) to my good friend from Kiev- Liuda Zarudnaya (kennel Zabava Znaty) as well as to Karolina Szymanska (Forum Romanum KL, Poland) for the help to answer to the most baffling question.
